I import through LR and rename them on imporet using the date - 200124 -
January 24, 2020 - and a sequence number for each group, so a typical file
name is 200124_06234. It is important to move the photos within LR or it
can't keep track of them. Every once in awhile you can click on a folder
and tell it to synchronize if you have moved them outside of LR, though.
It's very hard to screw up LR's catalog.
I edit my photos with numbers using 1 for unusable to 5 for
portfolio-worthy. The 1's get deleted when I finish the edit. 4's and
5's get worked on and uploaded to my stock sites. 2's and 3's are
possibles to work on later.
