You mention Portra 160 makes me smile. In my professional career, as I 
transitioned to digital, I went through a period of several years where I shot 
and had scanned film, and I discovered that scanned Portra 160 was a wonderful 
thing. It had a greater dynamic range than chromes and was sharp and crisp. I 
would still use it today if I wern't retired.

The still alive Philippe, speaking of the Canon 300D used for that shot, 
maintains that its colours are off limits, and that definition is poor in the 
sample presented.

Let M. Reichman RIP, he was alluding to some other product, and his opinion was 
worth many's.
