They are amazingly rare in the Pacific Northwest.
I recall seeing amazed kids, one of which had a mosquito on his arm, biting
him. “Hey check this out! Look at what he’s doing! Wow! Amazing!”
Being from Michigan, where the mosquito is the State Bird, I walked over and
smacked that sucker.
