Thank you. There are a couple of really good locations for
plane-spotting at PANC. Runway 33 is the preferred departure runway
for all the cargo flights as they avoid flying over the city. Normal
arrival and departure is to the east. Last year, they were doing some
widening and rebuilding of this runway, so everything was going over
town, and it greatly lowered the quality of life as you'd get a string
of 747s and 777s at max takeoff weight climbing out and turning.
