The "Storm Trooper" belongs to our neighbor. We share driveways.
BTW, where I stood to get this picture, the ground was all torn up by
a bear looking for grubs or something. It's that time of year where we
need to have pepper spray when you go out for a walk in the evening.
Speaking of, there was another serious moose attack in the next
subdivision over. A lady and her dog somehow managed to walk between a
momma and her calf that were next to the sidewalk in the brush. She's
in serious condition. Almost every year somebody gets attacked by a
moose in that neighborhood.
Our subdivision was built by a different developer who had more
experience dealing with this type of situation down in Anchorage, so
the paths are designed quite differently to allow for better
visibility and space from the surrounding vegetation. That's a good
thing because our moose are equally as aggressive, but we can see each
other better and avoid. But they do come right up to the house and
will drive our toy poodle nuts.
