Nice picture!
Now, if you open your uploaded picture with right click 'Open in new tab'
you'll see it is a jpg again ;-)
PSD is an internal format from adobe, it cannot be displayed 'natively' in
a browser. The upload software of the gallery might convert it to jpg
again, or you saved your file with a .psd name extension although it was a
jpg anyway.

I'm on a corner, with a lot of cables, so they can be difficult to
avoid I'm pointing East.
JPEGs are always 8-bit. PSD files are photoshop files used to save you
current edit session. I use 16-bit all of the time with photoshop when
edting files. You can set it in camera raw. However, you then export the
file to jpeg and it will be an 8 bit file.
