Looking at recent macro shots I noticed that some of them were not as sharp as
I would expect. On checking settings I discovered that the lens slider switch
for IS had moved to off. This is not the first time that this has happened.
My first thoughts are to cut a small piece of rubber to fit in the space behind
the slider switch and hold it in place with a sliver of double sided sticky
tape. This would enable the rubber to be removed if needed.
Other than tripod use, why would I need to disable the IS ?
I am rather annoyed that the switch has very little resistance, and can be
moved by sliding in and out of a camera bag.
Your collective thoughts please.
