My perspective is that if I can't make a compelling photograph with
5MP, I'm probably not going to do it with 50MP. However, with more
pixels, I do have more options in how to create the image. I also
agree that the observer's eye is influenced by edge detail, which can
be attained with far fewer pixels than what we pretend to need.
