Wow, Philllipe, you need to travel more. Garlic and red peppers grow in Kansas
as long as you water them and winter doesn't arrive. Garlic will return in the
spring , red peppers are gone gone gone after the first freeze.
I don't understand how anything lives in Alaska.

Garlic and red peppers grow in any garden (except in Alaska perhaps, God fogive
them) so long as you plant them, and occasionally water them.
