In some cases, it is necessary to have an accurate indication of distance.
Such as the wide angle lenses, if you got a wrong distance indication, you
cannot use preset focus by estimate the object distance and also the DOF
scale is not usable. My 4Ti also have some problem, I have to remove the
camera lens mount and place some thin metal pieces in between to make to
work more accurate with my lenses. This problem is not found on my other
OMs, although they do have some very minor difference. Of course, all of
them are checked to have extremely accurate focusing system, the problem
could be due to different lens mount to film plane distance.
