That limitation on the OM-2 was a killer for me doing TTL flash flower
photography. One typically has far away backgrounds that go dark. The TTL
metering is sensing a preponderance of dark "subject." Thus, there was many a
case that the shutter was still open after I had begun to move the camera away
from the subject. Another reason for simply saying the "OM-2 is out" for TTL
Flash work. I hated dealing with its limitations in everyday field use. Plus
the moisture seals were non-existent. Olympus America eventually declared my
OM-2 a lemon (for flash circuit shorting problems in ultra high humidity) and
gave me an OM-2n as a replacement. Along with a me buying a T-32 and Bounce
Grip 2, I was a happy camper.
