The 28mm/3.5 lens was one of the original Zuiko lenses introduced with the OM-1;
at that point there was no economy 'S' group of lenses. My 28/3.5 that I bought
in 1976 as part of a kit with OM-1 (pre-MD), 50/1.4, and 75-150/4 was actually
an M-series lens; wish I had it now! It was replaced by the 28/2.8, but I do not
think that there was a real performance difference apart from the half-stop;
mine gave very acceptable results.

Re. the 28/3.5 Zuiko.
Keep in mind this was
one of the earlier "S" economy lenses and was dropped some time back in
favor of the 28/2.8 Zuiko.
