I believe the Turbocommander did not use the more common PT6, which is 
fairly quiet for a turbine, but a solid shaft engine that Cessna used in the 
441, which killed a lot of sales as it taxied up to a prospective customer. 
Really noisy.

The second Commander the family owned was a turbo. It was very noisy. But we 
all wore headphones, so not so bad. It was a nice plane, but the Citation is 
nicer. <g>
