Thanks for the responses from you and Doris.  All pumped about the 285, I went
to our local Olympus store (largest local selection of used Olympus equip), to
see the 285 in person.  The had one in stock and at a reasonable price ($165
CDN), but they also had an F280 (139 CDN).

This was the first time I've actually come across one - I have a 4Ti, and after
much humming & hawing, I decided to get the F280.  Was this a smart move?

They had no documentation for the flash - but it seems reasonably straight
forward.  Anything I should watch out for though, or do to test it out (30 day
warranty)?

Thanks again - and I still think (once my wallet gains a little weight) I'll get
the 285.
