I think I'm with George on this one.
I used the Beattie for a few years and have recently begun
using the 1-10 on a regular basis. Maybe it's just my "blockhead"
way of looking at the world, or perhaps the novelty factor,
but I'm finding I prefer the 1-10 over the Beattie, at least
for general use (really dim situations excepted).
YMMV, of course.
