[OM] OM-2s flash only fires in manual/spot mode?

Subject: [OM] OM-2s flash only fires in manual/spot mode?

Thanks to everyone who responded to my problem. It looks as if my OM-2s is
indeed faulty. Regardless of which flash I use (Vivitar 4600 w/Olympus
dedicated module or Vivitar 283), the camera will not trigger the flash in
PROGRAM or AUTO mode no matter what shutter speed is indicated (including
1/60 or slower).

Also, when using the dedicated 4600 flash (fully charged) in PROGRAM mode,
the shutter speed isn't automatically set to 1/60 and the "lightning"
symbol doesn't appear. Again, it's possible that the dedicated Vivitar
module could be faulty but unfortunately, I don't have another Olympus
module or Olympus camera with which to test it.

Since the OM-2s isn't my main camera (I just bought it because it was
really cheap), I guess I'll just use it happily in non-flash situations.
Bummer. :-(
