If only it were so easy.... <sigh>
Adding ANY glass is going to result in WORSE performance. Adding multicoated
glass just makes it not-so-worse. At a minimum you will get some increase in
flare and contrast. Generally, for a single filter, any difference will be
difficult to detect.
