John,
Are you working Sunday? I am off and would like to come by. Need battery
change and to discuss focusing screens.

Lou,

Though you'll get some differences in opinion (i.e. Olympus 2- screens),
I'd highly recommend the Beattie Intenscreens. Brighter, more options, not
much more in price. Either check out a local photo shop (I doubt they'll
carry 'em) or contact John @ Camtech (http://www.zuiko.com).

Note that a brighter screen will throw your -1n's meter off -- it meters
off of the screen. If you ship your body to John, he can install the
screen and recalibrate the meter. Or you can order from him, install it
yourself, and take the body to a local shop for meter calibration.

FWIW, all of my bodies except the OM2K have the Beatties.

Dave

Subject: [OM] focusing screen?

Dear all:
 Happy Thanksgiving
Pardon my elementary questions but......When I look through my OM1N
Viewfinder the subject is often very dark and the light meter is hard to
see. Also there are several marks present. The circle that one focuses
within is also hard to see clearly. Is this the focusing screen mentioned
in previous recent emails and can it be changed and if so what is
recommended for my macro/portrait medical work?
Lou
