In my opinion, $70 is a low price, but prices in the US are generally lower
than here in Europe and especially Denmark.
The piece missing is only covering some wires and has only a cosmetic
function - my specimen has the same piece missing. Use black tape to cover
the wires.
To have the BG2 working, you need one of the OM TTL cords for the T-series
flashes, at least 30 cm long, the curled 60 cm one is preferable, I think.
That is if you want to have TTL-flash functions. Otherwise, you can use the
built-in PC cord on the BG2, but then you'll only have normal auto flash
capability.
I hope you can use this information.
