Someone opting to 'buy it now' does not cause the auction to be treated as
ended. So if you have a list of items from a search, you can click on an
item that appears to be available, and is currently at $10, only to find
someone has 'bought it now' for $25.
This might not be an issue for those with fast access but for those of us
using slow modems it is.
