Help! I'm in taiwan right now (the food here is just amazing, I miss it so much..) The problem is, my 50mm lens, when I got here, I noticed that the leaf shutters were slow. And of course it rained, and got more humid, and then the leaf shutters basically are gummed up, and won't return to the full aperature after you take a picture. Also, the blades are REALLY slow. I just took it in to get cleaned... But what about the pics that I took before with that lens then?? Are they going to be over exposed?? Also, my other lenses are fine, (thank God I brought other ones!) but the 50mm is by far my favorite now, good prospective and very sharp. My question is, of course the first question, are my previous shots with that lens ruined? Q2) Is it the humidity, or a lot of other contributing factors? I had that lens cleaned about a year ago, (I came to Taiwan in Jan. last year, and had it cleaned a week before I came) so it's only been a year between cleanings, I've never had a lens gum up other than this one. I hope my shots aren't ruined, that would make me really sad. I've taken a lot of pics of the "strange and exotic" foods I'm eating here, sooo... I'll scan them in when I get back to the states.
Albert.
