I was wondering if there isn't an easier way to get off the camera TTL
auto. With my OM-2n and T-20, I'd need to get a TTL autoconnector 4,
TTL autoconnector T20, and an autocord T. Buying all three would be
quite expensive.

I just bought a simple flash extension cord for off camera use, it
basically consists of two hot shoes connected by a cord. Very much
like the Altrex Duosync Cord 'N' on Tom Scales site. My question is:
If every contact on the hot shoe is connected to the proper contact on
the flash, wouldn't this result in affordable TTL auto? Or are there
more complex issues like the impedance of the cord not being properly
matched?

Hi Marten,
If your cord is like a Duosync, yes it will be TTL capable with the proper flash and camera. I don't know of impedance issues. The Duosync cords are fairly flimsy and the "feet" sometimes require shimming a bit to make a firm contact in the permanent shoes like those on the OM-2S and OM-4. (For some reason the detachable shoes are a little bit tighter fit.)
