Sorry I didn't mention it, but I sent the original one back as it was sent to
me only as a loaner to take for a test ride. There have been several lenses
with hoods on ebay recently and that was one approach I had thought of
taking. It is occurs to me that the front caps are also probably difficult
to find as they have a bayonet mount. I would suggest you post your need to
the list and if any of your local stores have a box of orphan hoods, that you
do a bit of "bin or box diving" Good luck. Bill Barber
