Price will be down as soon as it goes on sale, as you're now looking at
an MSRP, and virtually NOTHING sell at the MSRP;

ISO and moire appear to be an issue, but I'm betting it's an issue that
will be resolved by official release time;

Define "commercial success" - The OM was NEVER a commercial success, if
by "commercial success" you mean something that grabs a significant
market share. But Olympus kept the camera alive and evolving for, what,
two decades? Japanese camera companies belief that to be "real" camera
companies they must have a pro line - even if it's a loss leader.
Olympus is seriously committed to the E-1 and to promoting the E-1. I
wouldn't worry about the "commercial success" aspect. Obviously it's not
going to make a real dent in the Nikon and Canon pro-digital business -
but I'll lay odds that the E line will be around for a long time to
come.

Not for quite a while. Why?

1. Not until they get the ISO and moire issues fixed.

2. Not until the price comes down

3. Not until the market decides if it will be a commercial success.
