So if we posted this info to a list of Pentax M42 screw mount owners, it might 
improve our odds.  Does anyone an idea where they
are?  Yahoo! groups?

If I had a collection of M42 lenses, I'd be very interested indeed.  Those were 
the Spotmatic and Spotmatic II from late 60s through
the 70s, roughly.  I doubt that Practica folks would be much interested.  
Fujica made some M42 bodies.  Does anyone have a big
collection of Olympus FTL glass?
