If you use a standard flash synch cord, you lose TTL Auto flash, THE big 
reason to use a T series flash. The OM-2n and a T32 is a joy with TTL 
flash. There are 2 ways to take the flash off camera and keep TTL. The 
TTL Auto Shoe Cord T 0.6

, as you mention, is one way. I find it awkward, the way the cord sticks 
up vertically always seems to be in the way. The other, more elegant and 
flexible, way is with the TTL Auto Connector Type 4

That is a much more practically and esthetically pleasing solution.
