July 1977. The woman waiting at that white table for me to bring the
food and beer is my then new, now many years later, late, wife on our
honeymoon. We had actually been living together for some time, so it was
a lovely vacation without any getting used to being together all the
time oddness. And work paid the airfare and first few days at a hotel on
the Thames with a view of the Houses of Parliament.
It was England, so there were some days of liquid sunshine, but not too
many.
