Well, the P2 is heavy, requires a good, heavy, sturdy tripod. Forget
carbon fibre, go wood (and/or cast iron :-)); the camera is also not the
quickest to set up in the field. The monorail system makes it a
fantastic tool in a studio, where it truly shines. Did I mention it can
easily be adapted for film sheets up to 8x10"?

If you enjoy studio photography and/or architecture photography, then P2
would be a great tool to use.

If you just want to get your feet wet in LF, then I'd suggest you try
something cheaper to start with and see if you like it. Either build
your own (British Bulldog is advertised a fair bit in B&W Magazine), or
get one of the old Graflex Speed Graphics and become Iceland's WeeGee,
or Crown Graphic. Walt swears by his Crown Graphic, I believe.

For general photography, Sinar P2 isn't quite it; it's nigh impossible
to handhold. :-)
