I used to think the same about Sigma lenses but I've come to believe
that most complaints about Sigma have to do with build and QC at the
lower end of the price line. Sigma makes a vast range of different
lenses and different qualities. The higher priced end of the Sigma line
are also built like tanks.
Grab the Tokina 12-24 while it's still available. I'm beginning to
believe that Tokina is slowly going out of business. Older designs are
fading away and no new lenses appear to be replacing them.
