The umbrellas I used for the picture I posted a link to came from Spiratone, 
and so did the flashes -- about $20 each back then, best I recall -- probably 
about 1970. They were lost for many years, but I came across them recently -- 
there's five -- and they all still work. These are them:

If you're working in a tiny room, there's no need to overdo it.
