To be honest I don't know if it "evaporates".  But I do know that it 
eventually disappears along with the Ronsonol which does evaporate.  So 
I don't know what else to call it but the important point is that the 
oil disappears and the diaphragm starts to work again when it's dry.

I learned this trick from Thomas Tomosy in his 2 book set on camera 
repair.  He recommends it as a quick and easy repair that may just last 
a very long time.
