That's about where it needs to be here. In Indiana, $15.51 an hour would
enable a worker to support a family in a decent, though not by any means
luxurious lifestyle. But they'd have decent housing and food. That's twice
our minimum wage, and we have real unemployment of about 25% nationally
and about 30% where I live. So much for the conservatard argument that
paying decent wages causes unemployment (I've always argued that it didn't
matter, since low-wage jobs are in some ways worse than being unemployed).
