and the number of days in a year will eventually be less. Fortunately,
we don't have to plan for that.
But at the other end of the scale we DO have to worry about the number of
seconds in a day/week/month or whatever, which is why we also have
leap-seconds. GPS atomic clocks are already a significant time away from
'correct' because, if they were corrected, everywhere would jump some tens
of metres to the west (or something) - a bit tricky if you're in the middle
of docking a ship or landing a plane.
