You are correct. N-1 does move Zone 8 down to Zone 7. Usually. What
N-1 does is move Zone 9 down to 8. All the rest compress downward
some, but not as much. 8 will almost reach 7, 7 is almost 6 and 6 is
about 5.5. From there on down, you don't see much change at all.
