Thanks for both Frank and Moose's elaboration. For silent shutter my main concern is vibration but low noise would be a big plus for indoor especially concert events.

Exactly so for the A7. No first curtain sound at all, then very obvious 'clack' from second curtain. At least I know when a long exposure is done. ;-)

A7 is still the best option to me at this moment for both function and used price.

That's what I thought, and still think, for my uses. I've just been using it again, for the first time in weeks, for another of my little projects. A universal recipient FF body with live view is what makes it possible to work with the menagerie of MF lenses I use for my Alt work.

I can still wait a bit to see if there will be anything come up from other
manufacturers :-)

I wonder about that. Just because some folks get excited about FF mirrorless, doesn't necessarily mean there is a large market for more players. But there are several entrants for mMF (micro Medium Format). If Sony is the only source selling suitable sensors, I wonder if they have priced their cameras and the bare sensors so that entry and price competitiveness would be tough for anyone else. Why Canon hasn't moved is a mystery to me, but their overall success argues that they know more than I.

BTW, I like your images especially the soft Hydrangea Mix and the rather 3D
look Silver Linings.

BTW? That's the whole point - interesting and engaging images! So glad you like
a couple!

I took a series of the Hydrangea at different apertures as a test, and found
that no one worked for me, so the mixture.
