Whilst I don't deny your skill with denatured alcohol and a lens tissue
John, I would not recommend it to people who want to 'try this at home'
- don't underestimate the skill you have developed in that time that
non-service guys don't have.      :-)

For removal of dust from mirrors or focus screens, pentaprism bases etc.
without risk of damage at all, try the polythene & static method -
worked fine for me for about the same time as John quoted without a
single failure.
