Brad,
My OM-4 does have little markers in the finder to show the points
selected
by the spot meter. They are small marks above the "meter" line.

Greg,
They DON'T keep track of the points in the viewfinder. They just
take
all the readings you make and average them. If you want to emphasize
a
particular point, you "weight" it..that is read it twice (or more).
