When you do this, be certain to check it again at the shortest focusing
distance. Sometimes lenses vignette there when they won't at infinity.
It can be a nasty surprise. Plus, check it with your thickest filter. In
the field, you may slip that filter on in the heat of shooting, and not
notice.
