If the flash is strong enough, the camera will tell it to stop whenever enough
light has been received. The shutter stays open 1/60, but the flash duration
can range from 1/1000 to 1/10,000 (& beyond?).
If the flash isn't strong enough, on the OM2, the shutter will stay open open
until enough light has arrived. On the OM2n & succeeding, the 1/60 is accurate,
and the frame will be underexposed.
