Ken,
I'd be happy to chuck Vert up in a lathe and open up that annoyingly
small hole. If I did a really lousy job, the surface could be made
pretty rough to minimize some of the flare as well (probably take paint
pretty well too). I don't think Vert would could ever take glass any
more though. But on the bright side, if it worked, then I might just
have the nerve to try it on my own doubler.
