Interesting concept.  Many years ago I entered a Nikon Photo Contest and a
condition of entry was that the shots had to have been taken with Nikon
equipment.  I put some shots in taken with my Voigtlander Vito II, quoted
the body and lens serial numbers from a friend's Nikon F and was sure that's
why I didn't win a prize.  They obviously analysed the transparencies and
determined that they could not have been made with a Nikon lens !
