Hi Barry,
My thoughts,
1) $1,000+ is alot of money to spend for only 1&1/3 stops to use
"occasionally"
2) If I were forced to carry only one lens, it would undoubtedly be my 35-70
f3.6. I never leave home without one!
3) Several years ago I was going to buy a Brand new 4Ti form B&H. Then I
found out from this wonderful list that there is absolutely no difference
between a 1984 4T and a 2000 4Ti. I have 2 4T's and have less than $800
invested for both of them. Tough to justify $1,100 for one new one.
Good luck with your decision.
Buddy
Ps If you do not have a good tripod, my vote would be to use some of the $'s
for one.

Theres a good chance I'll have a modest ($1000-1500) windfall next
week.

1) Tokina or Tamron 300/2.8 - would replace my Zuiko 300/4.5 shots,...
but I rarely use over 200 except for the occasional shot.

2) Zuiko 35-80/2.8 - would fill the gap I currently have ... could replace
my 35-70/3.5-4.5 for a walking around/vacation/news/party lens.

3) New Om-4T -My current 4T..... A new 4T would also let me shoot
with a pair of 4Ts

What do you see as the pros and cons of these purchases?
BBB.
