I don't have any trouble shooting TTL flash at 50-100 feet in large, dark
interiors (gymn size) using a T32 with tele adaptor, ISO 400 or 800 film and
f/2.8 - 4 lenses, like the 180/2.8 or 65-200/4. That's pushing the edge,
since it almost fully discharges (or does) the flash. With 800 film, I'm
probably getting GN 100+ with the adapter on 135. TTL is important since GN
calculations would be difficult. Redeye is bad. People on stage are probably
wondering who is blasting them. Other people are shooting from the same
distance with their P&Ses with the 140 f/12 lens and a GN 25 (at ISO 400)
flash, but their negatives probably look a bit thinner.
