I've just picked up bare bulb head for my Vivitar 4600 flash with ded module
for Olympus. With this head in place, the settings appear to be very simple:
it does a full dump. No TTL, no auto, just a dump of everything it's got.
The only spec associated with the output is "60 watts/sec." Vivitar simply
suggests using a flash meter. Hey, I would always use a flash meter if I
actually had one.
Based on 60 watts/second, is there a way other than brute empirical testing to
ballpark a guide number for this type of light source?
