I prefer the MD1 too.  Before MD2 came out, and Olympus tech reps were still
beaming about the quality of the MD1, they would set it to sequence, balance
a nickel on the top of the handle and fire it for a few seconds.  The nickel
would remain standing,  as the motor went on and on.
