I was thinking of making a 3v supply in a flash bracket handle, connecting
the wires to a 'dummy' (maybe wooden or plastic) 'battery' inside the
battery compartment. It would require drilling a small hole in the
compartment screw cover for the wires. An on/off switch would be built in
to the flash bracket.
I have seen an OM accessory allowing a 3 v battery pack to be carried in
the pocket (cold conditions). It screws into the battery compartment...but
no switch. There was a really 'used' one on eBay a while ago..but it was
too expensive for me.
I'd love to see a picture of whatever you create...wuld give me the
confidence to have a go, too.
