Same problem I have in commenting on the Vivitar 19-35mm. I've taken pictures with it that are fine, but really just snapshots that I've never looked at critically, let alone make direct comparisons. I love the framing quality of zooms; you need a car to move from 19 to 35mm coverage, and I like taking just one lens on a casual outing to cover everything wide. On the other hand, I have Oly 18, 21, 24 and 28mm lenses, so if I'm concerned about ultimate quality, I use one of them.

Does anyone have any experience with these Samyang WA zooms? What is the
quality like of their construction and performance?

I have one... the construction quality appears to be good, smooth moving
rings for focus and zoom, and metal body. The few images I have taken with
it appear OK, but they are 'snapshots' and I didn't examine them for
distortion or sharpness. The Samyang images are not likely to be as sharp or
distortion-free as equivalent Zuiko primes, but you will spend more OMoney
to cover the 18-to-28 focal range with Zuiko lenses... Someday I'll buy a
brick of film and do some lens tests...
