Hi David,

The asterisks are to help prevent search engines from improperly
categorizing the message as pertinent to searches for the other vendors.

It's a term from Japanese that is used to refer to how a lens renders
out of focus areas on film.

asterixs? Eg. C*n*n, N*k*n, etc.
