Barrel erosion has always been the big bugaboo with the .220 Swift.  With a 
muzzle velocity of 4110 fps, barrel wear came quickly, and after a thousand 
rounds or so, those 100-yard, one-inch groups started to spread a bit.

And, yeah, there's way too much old crap here too, including yours truly.  We 
hired a 16-cu. yd. roll-off dumpster the week of Thanksgiving and filled it to 
overflowing with stuff from the basement.  It's hard to tell we did much of 
anything down there, except I can now actually get to the old 1974 Honda 550 
four that hasn't been ridden in 20 years and the Omega B-7 enlarger way back in 
the corner that hasn't made a print in nearly that long.  :-[
