I would expect nothing less than common sense to prevail in the Mother
Country, which, if I recall my history correctly, might actually be the home
of common sense. (Now, if I were going to, say, San Francisco, it might be
another story. <wink>) And I doubt I'll be taking any kid pictures, unless
it pictures of my cousin's two kids. In fact, I've been known to forget to
carry the damn camera at all, mostly because it's a freaking nuisance on
most occasions except those when I'm stalking The Picture, and then I don't
mind lugging the 4x5 monorail around, if necessary.

Bob

I can't remember who wrote that, and it might have been half-serious,
but I have carried a monopod (Camcane) around with me just recently
on the Tube and around the streets. The only problem that might
arise is if you used it horizontally, held to your eye like a rifle ...

Do be careful when taking photos of kids in public, especially in
London. Although the heat is off photographers as far as the Mayor
of London is concerned, some police have been overzealous in
protecting children's interests and have taken photogs to task with
embarrassing consequences.

But all in all, you can be assured that commonsense prevails, for the
moment at least.

Cheers

Chris
